MTV Video Music Awards 2021 -palkinnon voittajat julistettiin konsertin päätteeksi sunnuntaina New Yorkissa. Doja Catin isännöima esitys oli vihdoin ohi, mutta tässä on suuri kysymys, kuka vei sen kotiin?

Konsertti lähetettiin suorana Barclays Centeristä Brooklynista New Yorkista, ja siinä nähtiin Doja Cat majoittajana ja synnytti monia esityksiä, joihin sisältyi myös Vuoden Video -palkinto, jonka voitti Lil Nas X.
Justin Bieber pääsi Vuoden taiteilijaksi ja parhaan popin palkinnoille. Vuoden laulu -palkinto meni kotiin Olivia Rodrigo.
Justin Bieberillä oli jo seitsemän ehdokasta ja hän pääsi kahteen. Megan Thee Stallion puolestaan sai peräti kuusi ehdokkuutta, ja kohokohta oli hänen Cardi B Collab WAP. Valitettavasti hänelle ei tällä kertaa jaettu palkintoja. Hyvä 4 U -esiintyjä Olivia Rodrigo pääsi kolmeen palkintoon, mukaan lukien Vuoden Push Performance of the Year, Song of the Year ja Best New Artist.
